Mizzou Giving Day!
Dear friends of Religious Studies,
As Mizzou celebrates its annual Giving Day March 14-15, please consider a gift to the Religious Studies Department. The Jill Raitt Fund for excellence, named in honor of our founder and continued source of inspiration, allows us to provide both undergraduate and graduate students with exciting learning and research opportunities.
Here are some things funded by the Jill Raitt fund this semester:
- 33 students from Dr. Duncan's Hebrew Bible class will get to attend the Choral Union's performance of the Chichester Psalms in April at no cost to the students and hear the lovely words from the Book of Psalms sung in the original Hebrew.
- Zach, a first year graduate student, will be able to do ethnographic research at six pagan festivals in the Midwest from May through November.
- America, another first year graduate student, will be able to attend an intensive 8 week Latin course at the University of Cork, Ireland.
Imagine the things that your gift can help us do! Any amount helps.
